3-D Archery
Learn the basics of using a compound bow and take a shot at the 3D targets in our outdoor range. You will spend up to two hours with an Activities Attendant traversing our range to practice your bow and arrow skills. All equipment is provided but guests are welcome to bring their own bow. Closed-toed shoes are required for this activity.
Each session costs $30 per person for 1.5 hours of shooting time.
This course is offered at 10 AM and 2 PM
Participants must be at least 8 years old. Guests are required to wear closed-toed shoes. Minimum 2 people per session. Maximum 6 people per session.
GPS Scavenger Hunt
Follow GPS coordinates on a self-guided hike up the mountain. With eight total coordinate locations, this hike leads you from the Visitor Center all the way up to the Lodge. This typically takes 2-3 hours.
Each unit rents for $12 per day.
Units must be returned to the Visitor Center by 4:30 PM same day.
Guided Hikes
Hike up our famous Appalachian Approach Trail to the tallest waterfall in Georgia. You will spend one hour will an Activities Attendant identifying key species in the park while learning some history of Amicalola. Comfortable footwear is required for this activity.
Each session costs $12 per person for a 1-hour staff-led hike.
This hike is offered at 9:30 AM on Weekdays.
Participants must be at least 5 years old. Guests are recommended to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and bring water. Offered weekdays only, based on staff availability. Advanced reservations recommended.
Survivalist Camp
Explore the basics of planning for a primitive trip in the wilderness. You will spend up to two hours practicing your fire-building techniques with an Activities Attendant while learning other important skills. All equipment is provided. Closed-toed shoes are required for this activity.ach session costs $25 per person age 13 and up, $15 per person age 8-12.
Birds of Prey
Every weekend, visit the Lodge for a Meet-and-Greet with one of our Ambassador Animals. Learn how birds of prey fly silently and why a snake sheds its skin.
Meet a Bird of Prey on Saturdays from 10 – 10:30 AM in the Lodge’s main lobby.
Meet a Reptile on Sundays from 10 – 10:30 AM in the Visitor’s Center.
No reservations are required. Donations made at the programs benefit the animals and the proceeds help care for our collection.

Zip lines
We’ve teamed up with American Adventure Park Systems to bring you the Screaming Eagle Aerial Adventure Tour at Amicalola Falls.
Even the squirrels don’t have this much fun in the trees! Experience the rush of adrenaline and the wind whipping around you as you fly through the air on our Zip Lines. Feel the freedom of letting it all go, trusting your instructors, your gear, and yourself as you experience a birds-eye view of the forest. Little compares to this adventure and once you are back on the ground, your inner daredevil will be screaming, “Let’s do it again!”
